Color as therapy

Color as therapy

I don’t just paint color because I like it.

I paint color because I need color.

Especially this time of year, when the sky feels heavier, the days feel shorter, and everything outside leans toward gray — color becomes more than visual. It becomes emotional. It becomes energy.

When I reach for pinks, blues, greens, and warm corals, I’m not just choosing a palette. I’m choosing light. I’m choosing warmth. I’m choosing the feeling of sunshine on a day that doesn’t have much of it.

There’s something powerful about the way color lives in a home. A bright painting in a room can shift the whole mood. It softens hard days. It adds personality. It makes a space feel alive and cared for.

Art doesn’t just decorate walls. It changes atmosphere.

My paintings are rarely quiet in color. They’re joyful on purpose. Expressive on purpose. Hopeful on purpose. Because sometimes we don’t just want beauty — we want a reminder that brightness still exists.

And sometimes, that reminder comes in the form of a canvas.
